The first restaurant, at San Marco 615
La Piazza was founded in 2003 by two brothers at San Marco 615, in Piazza San Marco and around 150 metres from St Mark’s Basilica. The principle then is the principle now: Venetian and Italian cooking prepared to order, with the price printed beside every dish.
The menu covers handmade pasta and risotto, fish from the Adriatic bought each morning, wood-fired pizza including gluten free bases, and meat from the grill. The restaurant serves continuously from 11:00 to 24:00, seven days a week, and remains the reference point for everything the group has opened since.
2025 · New York
From Venice to Rockefeller Center
In 2025 La Piazza opened in Midtown Manhattan at 20 East 49th Street, bringing the same recipes and standards to New York: hand-rolled pasta, Adriatic seafood and premium cuts, paired with a curated Italian wine list.
A second Venice restaurant, La Piazza Zone, opened on Piazza San Marco at number 215: a contemporary dining room with an international wine cellar, four minutes from the original.

Cooked to order
Nothing waits under a lamp. Fish is bought for the day, pasta is made in the building, and the kitchen works to the table rather than to the clock.
Sourced close to home
Produce, fish and artisanal specialities from the Veneto wherever the season allows, because the shorter the journey the better the plate.
Prices on the page
Every dish carries its price beside it, on the menu and on the website. In a city with a reputation for surprises at the end of dinner, that matters.
Everyone at the same table
Vegetarian and vegan dishes run through the menu, and we keep gluten free pasta and pizza bases so a coeliac guest orders from the same page as everyone else.
